Edinbourgh is packed with things to do all year round.

Edinburgh is one of the UK's most visited cities, and rightly so...

The city in itself is stunningly beautiful and Edinburgh's architecture is renowned the world over.

But as well as looks, Edinburgh has substance.

It has played a pivitol role in Scottish and British history for hundreds of years and even today everywhere you turn there is a historical building or monument.

With so much to see and do, Edinburgh really should be high up on the list of any visitor to the UK.
Edinburgh Castle
Edinburgh Castle, perched on its outcrop of volcanic rock, is by far Edinburgh's most famous tourist attraction. Dating back over 1000 years, it was first settled in the Bronze Age, and it has been prominent in Edinburgh's history ever since.

Edinburgh Zoo
Located in 80 acres to the north east of the city centre, Edinburgh Zoo is the second largest zoo in Britain. Dating from 1913 it is also considered by many to be one of the best zoos in Britain, if not the world, for its breeding programmes, conservation work and research.

Edinburgh Tattoo
The festival was first held in 1947 as a celebration of the end of the Second World War, and over the years it has grown into the biggest arts festival in the world.

Each year it attracts around a million visitors to Edinburgh, thus almost doubling the city's population.
